Inspired by the LCSH Suggestion Blog-a-Thon that NYC’s Radical Reference collective hosted in 2008, the Cataloging Lab is hosting an LCSH Suggest-a-Thon March 19-23!

This is your chance to suggest an improvement to the Library of Congress Subject Headings. Please be aware your answers will be public; let’s help LC make LCSH the best it can be! There’s no guarantee your suggestion will be implemented, but with luck and skillful research we’ll make some positive changes.

If you have multiple suggestions, please fill out the form once for each suggestion, unless the terms are very closely related (like, for example, “HIV-positive persons” and “HIV-positive women”).

You can view headings that have been submitted via this form.
